Balanchine in Berlin

Suzie and I are just back from four days in Berlin with our wonderful friends there, Dirk and Meike. Last night we saw the Staatsballett Berlin, Victor Malakhov's company, in a Balanchine evening. This was Balanchine in a sharper focus than we expect in London, because the Royal Ballet doesn't really 'get' Balanchine. No review here for now- I don't really want this to become a reviewer's weblog - at least not yet.

Some points to follow on dance writing and dance practice and how they interact. More tomorrow when I'm less tired.
