Suzie and Annie

This morning we're beside ourselves with delight with Annie's triumph - last night she won silver medal in the Genée awards. Annie Carroll came into our lives two years ago - she's now in her final year at the Royal Ballet School and Suzie is her guardian when Annie's in London.

Annie is Valerie Lawson's daughter: Valerie has become a close friend over the last few years - she's based in Sydney and writes for the Sydney Morning Herald. So - much hugging at Sadler's Wells last night - and pleasure that Annie has matured to be a dancer of intelligence and clarity with a confident stage presence and an instinctive musicality. We're helplessly biased, of course, but the future must be very bright for Annie now.
